Planning the security of goods is important. However, it is not necessary to carry out an on-site inspection. We try to act in a resource-saving manner in all areas. For example, many years ago we decided not to send employees across Germany by car to inspect an entrance on site, which you can easily send to us via WhatsApp with a cell phone photo.
This is also one of the reasons why our merchandise security is cheaper despite the best quality and technology. Because saving resources also saves your wallet.
We use article surveillance systems from Amersec, our long-term partner from the Czech Republic. This makes us one of the few, perhaps now the only company, that thinks more "green" here too. While the competition brings the systems to Germany from Asia by plane or ship, we have much shorter routes.

There are two different systems for the use of article surveillance in the textile trade:
1stradio frequency article surveillance
Advantages:
- more cost-effective than AM systems
- many manufacturers
- many designs
- very large selection of fuses
Disadvantages:
- Range smaller than AM Acoustomagnetic Article Surveillance
- Can rarely or poorly be synchronized with neighboring systems, so that technical limitations may occur, therefore not recommended for central locations
- More sensitive to radio interference

2. Acoustomagnetic article surveillance
Advantages:
- Typical entrances in retail stores are about 2m wide with inward opening doors, with AM (acoustomagnetic technology) the article surveillance antennas can be placed behind the doors, on a passage width of about 230cm and work perfectly there
- When installed by trained technicians and reputable providers, there are rarely any faults and error-free operation for many years
- many designs, plexiglass, aluminum, advertising mounts, etc.
- large selection of fuses
Disadvantages:
- Greater range between the antennas also means greater detection into the store, i.e. more distance to secured goods (possibly use dummy security devices)

Product security: what do I need to consider and how does it all work?
Article security systems are based on radio. We all know this from WLAN routers, for example: sometimes the reception/signal is better and sometimes worse. Article security works in a similar way. In an environment with little interference, article security "sees" much further than in a difficult environment.
Light bulbs, cash registers, computers, even electric kettles, i.e. all electronic devices or electrical cables in the wall can affect the function.

Goods security in leasing - beware of traps!
You want to lease a security device so that you can use your money better than tying it up in a security device. Basically a good idea!
Imagine you receive a leasing offer from Tolle-Warensicherung-GmbH with a term of 36 months, we, Eastek, offered a term of 60 months. 60 months is too long, too much interest to the leasing bank and the contract goes to Tolle-Warensicherung-GmbH... Congratulations! You now book the monthly installment as an expense, reduce the company's profit and save taxes in parallel to the reduction in theft, so merchandise security is fun!
After 5 years, the tax officer comes in for an audit and cancels the tax savings from the leasing for 36 months... "Oh no, how could that be?" Many of our competitors are happy about a leasing contract because the money is paid out immediately by the leasing bank, often plus commission, and what happens later is initially of no interest to the seller.
36 months term is not legal!
We expressly point out the general conditions for leasing a security device:
Full amortization leasing for merchandise security
The leasing contract must be concluded for a specific period of time and cannot be terminated during this period if both parties properly fulfill the contract (no right of termination). This is the so-called basic rental period. During this basic rental period, the lessee's leasing payments must at least cover the acquisition/production costs and ancillary costs, including the lessor's financing costs.
According to these two leasing decrees, the decisive criterion for the tax allocation of the leased object is the length of the basic rental period: If it is between 40% and 90% of the normal useful life of the leased object, calculated according to depreciation, it is allocated to the lessor.
The lessee can then deduct the leasing payments as business expenses. AFA for goods security 12 years = 144 months x 40% = 57.6 months minimum term if the tax advantage is to be used.
There are depreciation periods for all goods (AfA = depreciation for wear and tear). For the goods security system, the tax office specifies a useful life of 12 years, and the depreciation must run over this period. When leasing the goods security, 40-90% of this period must be fulfilled:
12 years = 144 months x 40% = 57.6 months minimum term
12 years = 144 months x 90% = 129.6 months maximum term
